WALT: Find out about and animal from the Wellington Zoo and share our findings.

First we chose an animal we would like to study and made a bubble map about what we already know about the animal.

Then we came up with questions about what we would like to find out about the animal.

Once we had our questions we used the internet to research the answers.

Each group decided on how they would like to present the information.

Today our class got to visit the big green rig. It was full of awesome things to do.

When we went to the esplanade we got to do a  lot of different things like feed the ducks, go on a bush walk, have a train ride and look at the birds and plants in the hothouse. This is a picture of a ‘babaca’. We got given it by the hothouse keeper. Now we have to wait for it to ripen and we can cut it up to eat it. Stay tuned and we will let you know how it tasted.
